LanguageCert Academic Reading test - Part 1B

In this lesson we're going to focus on the second part (Part 1B) of the Reading test of LanguageCert Academic.

Part 1B is a classical multiple choice task, another practical vocabulary task. It consists of a text with 6 gaps, and 3 words to choose from to fill in the missing word.

The best strategy is to read carefully the text until you reach the first sentence with a gap. Read that sentence till the end, look at the options, choose the word you feel completes the sentence best and move back to reading till you get another sentence with a gap. Repeat till the end.
