Module 2 - LTE Writing Exam

In this module of the course you'll learn everything about the Writing component of the test.

There is just one version of writing test in terms of the level - A1-C2. Moreover, unlike Listening & Reading test, Writing test has exactly the same structure and time given to complete (1 hour) in all three formats - Paper-based (PB), Computer-based (CB) and an online exam.

The Writing test consists of two tasks - Part 1 is a short communicative text (an email) of 60-100 words. It primarily targets students at lower levels of skills - up to B2 level. Part 2 requires writing a longer text of 200-250 words, usually a report. Among other less frequent options, there are articles and reviews of the same word count.

Both writing tasks are assessed by 4 criteria: task fulfillment, range and accuracy of grammar, range and accuracy of vocabulary and organization.
