Creative Visualization

Creative Visualization exercises are widely used among others in sport. Have you ever paid attention to athletes waiting for their turn to jump or their race to start? Some of them keep waving and grinning nervously but some others just stand there with their eyes closed. You know what they're doing? They're visualizing their jump or run first, before they commit to it with their bodies.

The studies say that practising something in your mind is comparable with practising it for real. The same way as your brain doesn't know the difference between excitement and fear, as the brain chemistry in both cases is the same, it doesn't differentiate between practising in the mind or in the field.

Again, it means that it ALL starts in your head and we can take advantage of it for our purposes - preparing for and sitting your IESOL B2 Communicator exam.

Below, you'll find three Creative Visualization exercises:

  • for perfect daily practice

  • for writing flow

  • for a smooth exam day.

You can use any of them any time you want, though, it goes without saying that Creative Visualization for perfect daily practice is the best to listen to before you sit down to our lesson, while Creative Visualization for a smooth exam day is the best just before you sit your exam.
