Module 4 - IESOL B2 Writing Test

In Module 4 of the course you'll learn everything about the Writing component of the test.

The Writing test consists of two tasks - Part 1 is a shorter task of 100-150 words. The task requires from you a formal writing piece, usually a letter, such as a competition entry or a letter to a magazine/newspaper. Rarely may you be asked to write for instance a review.

Part 2 requires writing a longer text of 150-200 words, usually a personal letter. Among other less frequent options, there are articles and essays of the same word count.

Both writing tasks are assessed by 4 criteria: task fulfillment, range and accuracy of grammar, range and accuracy of vocabulary and organization.
